Students need books they are interested in to really love reading. As a new teacher my library lacks the type of books 4th graders are looking for. After conducting a poll to see what students want to read, I noticed I did not have any of the books they put down. With a large class size and a multitude of personalities I want students to feel a passion for reading in their own way. Reading builds on every aspect of your life. From mathematics to music, reading is essential to become a strong student. It is easier when you love the book you are reading.
