I am requesting a classroom iPad so that my first graders can use an app called Seesaw. Seesaw is a digital portfolio that allows students to independently upload classroom work or create online content. It allows students to take ownership and pride in their learning. It gives students purpose by providing an audience for their work, including their teacher, classmates, and families. Seesaw also allows students to show their learning in ways that work best for them so that teachers can accurately assess their knowledge. It allows students to draw pictures, use voice-over recording, create videos, and so much more. This iPad will provide students with a tool to actively engage in their own learning process. It will help them develop digital literacy skills and independence.
