A few years ago I began creating a classroom where students feel like they are a part of their education. I did this by making stations where students learn at their speed in ways that meet their individual needs and interests. A high population of my students thrive when using technology that is differentiated to match their needs and includes a motivational tracker. Students will use these two Chromebooks for quick mini assessments on sites like Kahoot. Students will use Google Classroom to create projects of their choice. Using Lexia and RAZ-Kids on the Chromebooks meet my scholars needs by allowing them to progress in learning at their level. My students often run to me when they are finished with the few Chromebooks we already have to tell me what level they just completed, what facts they just learned, or to just give me a hug because they are happy with their success. I want more moments like these by getting more Chromebooks.
