Research shows the benefit of multi-sensory learning. I use music and motion in my classroom using a borrowed projector or my small laptop screen. We need our own Epson projector. When the body moves, the brain remembers. I would like a projector so that I could integrate motion and visual learning into my program across all the curriculum areas. There are endless videos available for students to dance and sing, including rocking to sight words or exercising to count to one hundred. I have used music and motion and have seen significant gains. Children will often remember a word that they have sung and danced to just after the first time it was introduced. The same word may take a week to learn when given a traditional paper approach.
