The items I have requested for my class, are all geared toward bettering my students' education - with emphasis on differentiation and reaching a variety of learning styles and levels. The books I have put on my list are for the purpose of providing the students a plethora of novels to read. Most of the skills taught in my reading block can be used for both nonfiction and fictional text. The models, fossils, and other science items I have requested are to help the students better understand the concepts we are discussing. While a lot of activities we do in science are very hands-on, the more resources I have, the better understanding the students will have!
