My name is Ms. Heise and I am one of my districts elementary STEAM teachers! It is my job to expose students to all areas of stem and the arts (A)! We need to create a learning environment that prepares students for jobs that do not even exist yet. That is why I am always looking for new opportunities to add new and innovative manipulatives into my classroom. The students in my school have always been interested in Stem; even before they knew what STEM was. It finally occurred to me that I need to do something about all of this excitement and create a class that focuses around all STEM projects. That is how I came to create the elementary STEAM class.
