The healthy snacks that my students need are being requested because that program is being removed from our school this year. I do not want to ask students to bring their own snack because some students cannot afford to take snacks to school and I do not want to have students bringing unhealthy snacks like candies and cookies. It is a long stretch of time for students to go from 8:30 to 12:05 when they go to lunch. Students do not focus on their work when they are hungry. As their teacher providing snacks for my students will be a big expense so that is why I have asked for these items.
