Having a magnetic whiteboard chart stand in my room will allow my students to have me hold a book during our daily mini lessons and write important information down without having to stop each time to put down my book and pick up our small lap size white board. During center time they will be able to utilize the board with magnetic letters to practice phonic skills. Since many of them are limited in their English we work with letters and sounds many times during the day. I also could use the desk size for small group instruction since we do word work as part of our small group reading time.
