These items will help to increase the options my students have to allow for a comfortable and productive learning environment. Flexible seating in the classroom helps to regulate mood, energy, reduces stress, facilitates cognition, and creates a higher attention span. One way to look at flexible seating is "sitness vs. Fitness"...... A chair is the least effective environment for learning. When students are allowed the chance to get "comfortable" and makes choices on how and where they want to learn for the day, they are more likely to take ownership in their learning. Please help facilitate these seating options in our classroom!
