My students need flexible seating throughout the classroom. This is a fantastic way to encourage good behavior, give the students choices, as well as have the students take ownership in the classroom. Alternative seating encourages students to sit anywhere they feel they will learn best. This will eliminate my students need to stand up or roam around the classroom during lessons. The donations for this project will improve my classroom by reducing the amount of behavioral issues, increasing choice making skills, and presenting the opportunity for personalized learning. In a special education classroom, these skills are necessary to teach. My students will not only be able to move around the classroom, but they will also be taking ownership for their learning styles.
