High schools students tend to enter my high school class with a certain disdain for reading. They often times suggest that reading is "too boring" and "too difficult." A goal for my classroom is to reintroduce the magic that can be had from reading Manga and Graphic novels to mimic my students previous experiences with reading picture books as children. The books within my request are the complete Naruto Manga series, along with the March graphic novel collection, and lastly the Harry Potter Series. Your donations would allow students to fall in love with reading by reintroducing the fun that can be had from reading Manga. Manga allows students to visualize and engage with a text in away that allows students to practice their skills as readers.
