Adding more graphic novels to our school library will allow reluctant readers the chance to fall in love with books. These books can be more engaging and manageable for struggling readers. When kids read graphic novels, they use the illustrations to understand the text all while benefiting from a rich vocabulary. Graphic novels grab the reader's attention while incorporating character development, plot, setting, and other story elements. Students that struggle to read can feel success by finishing a book on their own. Graphic novels are great for all readers, but my goal with this project is to get more reluctant readers excited about their trip to the library!

About my class
