There are so many different ways to teach a child to read and so many different ways a child can learn to read. Some want to sit down and figure it out on their own. Others want to listen to reading while they follow along and figure out what each of those words mean. Some want you to read some of the words to them while they figure out the rest. How exciting it will be to have all of the options of learning to read available to all students at all times during the day. Providing them with their own personal CD player to listen to a book while following along gives them just one more way to become fluent in reading. They can take the time to really discover all the exciting elements in the story while listening at their own speed.
