My classroom is entirely dedicated to math this year! I am the 4th and 5th grade math teacher for Westover Hills. I have 20 homeroom students, but will see about 120 students in my classroom everyday. The students I have are interactive learners, so the classroom is set up for students to enjoy stations and math manipulatives around the room. There is a computer cart so that students can play math games and practice math online (which they love!). The one thing that my math class is missing is a document camera. During the year, I will be using materials to teach new concepts that I will need to project for the class to see. This document camera is essential to teaching new content.
