My students all have different disabilities and are at different levels but there is one thing they have in common. That being they are all below grade level. All of my students are at least two grade levels behind in reading alone. Having technology opens so many doors for my students and gets them excited to learn something they struggle with. No matter where life might take them reading will always play a huge factor, I want to know they will be prepared when they leave my classroom. My students need technology to get them excited about learning. Having tablets and headphones gives my students opportunities to listen to eBooks and participate in language building programs. All being done at their own pace. These activities will build their reading and listening comprehension, vocabulary, phonological awareness, and fluency.
