Having Osmo Genius Kits and a Tiggly Learner Kit to utilize with our classroom iPads will help make learning fun for all students. It will allow my students to experience hands on learning and problem solve independently. These kits are truly remarkable and my fabulous first graders would agree! They are an amazing resource and would be used daily in Reading and Math class for small group learning. The fabulous thing about the Osmo and Tiggly kits is that they provide a variety of Reading, Math, and Spelling games that will provide either enrichment or interventions, allowing all children to benefit from using them! The Tiggly Learner Kit includes three award-winning Learning Systems: Tiggly Words, Tiggly Math, and Tiggly Shapes. The Kit combines 14 interactive toys with 12 learning apps. The kids will be able to move letters and numbers to use higher order thinking skills to spell words and solve number equations. This will be used as an intervention in the classroom. The Genius Kits include five games, the iPad base and hands-on letter, number and tangram tiles. The Number Kit focuses on counting, adding and subtracting. The number tiles are used to solve math problems and move up levels as the student masters the skills. The Tangram Kit helps students expand their visual knowledge by solving puzzles. The Letter Kit has letter tiles that the student can use to match letters to sounds, identify sounds, spell CVC words, and long vowel sounds. These kits will help my students flourish academically in Reading, Math, Spelling, and more. This project would make such an impact on their learning and my future classes for years to come.
