These materials will be used in a variety of ways for my students. Not only am I teaching them academic skills, we are addressing daily living and social skills, making them an all around person. My students have a variety of diagnosis in my classroom, but the one thing we ALL have in common is wanting to LEARN! The iPad will be used to assist in my students communication. There is a plethora of learning apps and communication apps that will be used daily! By having this technology in the classroom the students will have the most update information at their fingertips. It will be used in centers to help the students with math, reading, science, and communication! The refrigerator will be used to store the students snack and lunches. We frequently make edible snacks for the students in our language groups and currently have no location to store them. The laminator will be used to preserve the amazing work the students create so they can take it home to their parents. Their parents then, will be able to review daily classwork with them, thus increasing their progress. The math and alphabet games will be used daily to bring a new fun way to work on basic math skills. For my students to succeed in life, they need the basic fundamentals of reading and math! These materials will help keep their focus, while learning! The puzzles will be used to address fine motor, matching, and critical thinking skills. The school supplies (glue, scissors, paper, chart paper) will be distributed throughout the classroom for the students to create wonderful projects after whole group learning.
