Have you ever heard your favorite song and just had to get up and dance? Great music makes us want to move. Music and movement go hand in hand. These supplies will be used to emphasize musical concepts through movement. For example the stretchy bands will be used to help students visualize music form and phrases. The dancing ribbons will help students physically demonstrate high and low. The scarves will help students express different moods heard in music and the balls will help students physically feel the steady beat in music. These are only a few examples of how these supplies will be used in our class. The possibilities are endless.
