My students amaze me! They work hard and try their best, even with limited resources. All students deserve the best we can offer! Even though our school has a population that receives about 50.5% free or reduced-price lunch, teachers in our building strive to make sure all students have an equal opportunity to learn and reach their goals, no matter their socioeconomic status. We develop a community of learners by living our school motto on a daily basis: "Work Hard, Play Fair and Take Care of Each Other." I am constantly asked, "Why would you want to teach middle schoolers?!" My response is always, "Why wouldn't I?!" Middle school is such a fun and interesting time developmentally in a child's life. It is so fun to watch them learn and grow from children into young ladies & gentlemen!
