When working as a whole group during Calendar time or reading, my students could greatly benefit from having a specific area to sit. Second graders like to wiggle and they need a space to call their own. Currently we don't have a rug and its is really hard for my students to sit in one spot and to work in collaborative pairs without having individual space. With this rug, they will know how much space they have to move around and they will be able to work in pairs comfortably. My kids will love this rug and appreciate it this year!
