The books, materials, games and flexible seating that I am requesting will go towards creating a more engaging and supportive learning environment. The books are geared towards helping students deal with challenging issues; such as, learning disabilities and social/emotional struggles. The flexible seating allows those students who have more energy to quietly fidget so they are better able to stay focused on learning. Other materials like adaptive paper, weighted pencils and slant boards help to aid in motor challenges. Reading highlighter strips assist with visual tracking difficulties and noise cancelling headphones help support students who have a sensory overload in a typical classroom environment. It's inspiring and extremely rewarding to see how hard working and resilient my students are. These materials would go towards expanding skills in math, reading, writing, attention and memory retention. I would love to provide them with more materials, books and seating to help continue their growth and success in the classroom. Thank you!
