My students attend an urban middle school. Most of my kids are bussed in from a "rough part of town." They come from single-parent families, grandparents raise them, and many have family members in jail. A majority of my kids have parents that dropped out of school and/or did not attend college. The kids at my school have a difficult time getting along and they show their feelings by fighting and arguing.
