Everyone knows that Covid-19 has presented challenges for us the last few months. As we approach the beginning of a new school year, teachers and school systems are trying to adapt to finding new ways to reach their students whether we are meeting face-to-face, hybrid, or completely virtual learning scenarios. I am requesting a document scanner, camcorder, tripod, memory card, and two face shields to create a safe and effective hybrid learning opportunity. When Covid-19 hit in the spring, I did not feel I was prepared nor did I have the necessary resources to provide my students with the best virtual learning experience possible. Since then, I have been thinking about what I would need to improve my students' digital learning experience. As teachers, we will now be tasked with teaching those students whose parents want them in face-to-face instruction, as well as those who want to keep their students at home. I will need to design my lessons to meet both types of learners where they are, and in the event of another full closure, how to meet the digital needs of all learners. The tools that I am requesting will make it easier to record lessons, upload documents and resources, and digitize learning so that students can access lessons live and at a later time for clarity.
