Our school is in a predominantly Latino neighborhood, and many of my students have been in bilingual programs until this year. This book set will help maintain the presence of Spanish language/culture in the classroom. The set can also be used to provide high-interest book choice for ELL's. One of our school-wide goals for 2019/2020 is to increase in math proficiency. The math games on this list were strategically chosen to provide students with engaging opportunities to build math skills, while I provide small-group math instruction. Subscription to TIME for kids will provide students with opportunities to research their interests, and promote the development of civically-engaged mindsets.
