These basic classroom supplies are very hard to come by for most of my students. To have these readily available to them daily could mean the difference in the outcome of their school day. Our students struggle with emotional and behavioral disorders and simply having the tools available to them could mean the difference between success and failure. In our class, students learn the fundamentals of reading and writing. They also use their creativity and writing abilities to master the art of essay writing. Hence the reason the basic supplies of paper and pencil are so important to their daily success. These students strengthen their reading and creative writing through the use of an SRA reading program and exploration of new writing topics.
