My students learn more when they are comfortable and relaxed in their environment. Last year was my first year teaching and I have used a variety of flexible seating in my classroom with much success. At this time my students have a couch as well as stability balls and wobble seats. I would like to give more variety to my students as well as providing enough options for every student to be able to use flexible seating in the classroom with these flex space bean bags and lap desks. Research has shown that students with varying disabilities learn best in a more flexible, comfortable, and safe environment. I still utilize tables and school seating during whole class instruction. My goal with this project is to give the students more freedom to find a comfortable learning space throughout the day whether we are doing small group learning or whole class learning. Your support on this project will allow me to provide an amazing learning environment for some very well deserving students.
