Students learn best when they become responsible for their own learning. My students will use these math manipulatives to grasp many math concepts presented in Kindergarten. These math manipulatives will provide the foundation to many math concepts and will also allow my Kindergarten students to explore and expand their knowledge of mathematics by allowing them to practice and learn in a hands on way. When mathematics is taught using manipulatives (things they can hold and manipulate to see concepts), students are much more likely to be engaged and gain a greater understanding of the concept being taught. When we make math fun by using manipulatives, the potential for academic growth and success is great!
