Many kids have a hard time completing work without getting antsy and needing to move around. Teaching in an all boys school, I see this very often within my classroom. Research shows that male students especially benefit from extra movement while they are learning. It indicates that this movement helps them not only get their work done, but also helps them to retain the information being learned. Having exercise balls, lap desks, and wobble discs available to my students is a great and easy way to help my students achieve success, while allowing them the freedom of alternative seating. About my class
