I teach at a low socioeconomic school with roughly 900 students. These students come from all walks of life and make up a very unique student population. Having books that relate to my students will increase their reading drive as well as improve their reading stamina. Students WANT to get their hands on these titles! The students that I teach desperately need literature to choose from that has characters that look, talk, and deal with the same struggles that they do. Adding these books to our class library will help us to meet the needs of our diverse population much better! Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch for our students.
