The requested items will be used to meet all forms of sensory needs for all students in my K-2 building. Students can receive deep compression, joint compression, and fine motor stimulation in a calming environment. The goal of this project is to eliminate or diminish learning barriers in the hopes that every student has the same opportunity to learn. Sensory needs are often times overlooked or misdiagnosed. Meeting sensory needs not only eliminates barriers for students but it also enhance the instruction of teachers by presenting students who are engaged and ready to learn and decreasing disruptive behaviors and actions.
