It goes without saying, that the world and times we are living in are unprecedented. Whether my students are directly affected by COVID19 or the systemic racism that has plagued this country for too long, they are without a doubt worthy of a place of creative solace. My students are bright, enthusiastic and driven young people ready to heal and take back their power, especially creatively! The purpose of this project is to create an enriching art kit for at home learning! With these supplies, students will be able to paint through any and all emotions, which is fundamentally critical to development. My students need a space for creation and healing, this project will enhance this need and help fulfill a holistic demand to education.
