My students need headphones for when they are on the computer. The math program they use requires them to have the volume on so that they can hear the instructions. They also use the computers as a listening center during reading stations but need headphones so they can hear what is being read to them. Headphones will allow my students to have a much more impactful time on the computer. They need to have productive independent activities while I am working working with a small group and technology gives them that. The technology is only effective when it is used the way it was intended and that is with headphones.
