Virtual reality devices are an exciting way to get students involved in the larger world. This will allow students to experiences the places they learn about in class. Students will also be able to create their own 3D videos which they can share. These 3D virtual tours will get them excited and curious about the world outside their communities. When my students learn about Ancient Rome, they can virtually visit Rome and see what the Romans left behind. That may then lead them to further research the culture and country. With these Google Cardboard VR headsets, learning will take on a whole new dimension.
