We are working on learning how to change from reading picture books to the differences in chapter books. In small groups, we are reading aloud and discussing them. These new books are interesting and on their level. They will hold their attention and keep them reading to the end. Also, I chose books that will keep them picking up chapter books in the future. Some students have been motivated enough to take a book home when they were absent and read to get caught up with the class. Since our books are limited, it would be nice to have others to choose from.
