Every day presents ups and downs. Over time it is getting harder and harder for children to deal with the different situations they are dealt with on a daily basis because they do not have the tools to deal with these situations. My goal is to help my students build their Mindfulness Toolbox by teaching them calming breathing exercises, energizing and focus breathing, along with relaxing and empowering movement through yoga poses. By having these non-toxic yoga mats, my students will be able to safely participate in these mindfulness activities growing their connection between mind and body. This will further build their confidence in themselves and help them to understand their emotions. This will help to foster a positive learning environment.
