Quite often kids in the upper grades are confined to reading chapter books or required texts at their desks. Creating a comfortable reading space, where students feel at home, will encourage reading for fun! Kids shouldn't always feel that reading "is only for school," rather that it can be done leisurely too! A rug will create a comfy reading spot to enhance the reading environment in Room 20! We would love to add picture books to our classroom library to teach growth mindset, inclusiveness, literary concepts, as well as expand our chapter book selection in a variety of levels. Thank you for helping us broaden our literacy skills and preparing us in many ways to be future world changers!!!

About my class
