My students go through some emotional stress when they are learning new and abstract concepts, especially those who come from other states. These students have to learn everything in our curriculum again. They have to play catch up, and their learning has to be accelerated. I need some incentives to keep them motivated and focused on the positive aspects of their learning. I have routines and procedures set up in my class since the beginning of the year. This helps avoid any unnecessary discipline issues. However, since students are learning more abstract and difficult concepts, they sometimes need extrinsic motivators to keep going. The incentives that I'm looking for are simple and inexpensive, but they add up at the end of the day. So if you could help me fund this, I would greatly appreciate it, and of course, my students would, too.
