I have been a biology teacher for 9 years and I am looking forward to welcoming students for the 2018-2019 school year! My teaching philosophy is that anyone can learn anything with enough practice, experience, exposure and time. I love grabbing the hearts and minds of my students with biology lessons that are relevant and rigorous. My students are authentically engaged in learning by doing science. We do labs and experiments. We explore and get hands on. We are creative and curious. We use interactive science notebooks to document our learning and watch our progress. My teacher input goes on the right side and may include articles, graphs, facts, or a lab. The student's output or 'processing' goes on the left side. This hands on engagement with the material makes learning meaningful and memorable! My students are hard workers because they can see what we do in our classroom matters! Chaulk bio rocks!
