My students have plenty of energy, and don't always have a place to put it. Flexible seating is the use of different seating arrangements (not just desks & chairs) in the classroom. It has been shown to improve posture, oxygen flow to the brain, metabolism, and (most importantly) student motivation and engagement. Wobble stools, fidget bands, and stability balls/seats will incorporate movement and student choice into classroom learning. Lap desks will provide the option of floor seating. I've already found that my class is more relaxed and focused on their work when they are comfortable, and I would love to see more students in my class have this chance to feel at home and engaged in the classroom.
