I teach 10th grade English at a large rural school in Tennessee. The majority of my students come from low income, farm and nursery families, and they are not able to afford the extra supplies needed for school. This year, we will be reading The Hate You Give, How I Resist, The 57 Bus, and Dear Martin among other books. These books will be tied to a great deal of the projects, lessons and writing assignments we do this school year. I would love to have enough for my students to have their own copy while reading in class.
