A strong house begins with a strong foundation and the same can be said about our youth. Kindergarten sets the tone and begins the foundation necessary for students to be successful in their education journey. My purpose for this grant is to give my students a learning environment fit for their developmental level. Kindergarten students are asked to be reading and writing by the time they leave my classroom. Research shows that providing them with flexible seating options as well as alternative lighting improves their focus and engagement in the classroom setting. My goal is to be able to provide an environment like this for my students.
