The students will be using the calculators on a daily basis to complete class work, projects, and assessments. There is a substantial amount of Algebra in the 8th grade. Students really struggle with integers. Having the use of the calculators will allow them to quickly compute and move on to the next step in the problem solving process. Eighth graders must pass the end of the year test in math to be promoted to high school. I want my students to learn, practice, and solve math problems with these calculators, so they are able to learn it quicker and pass the state mandated tests.
