Pretend play is essential in the development of young children. In our Pre-K classroom, students work together in Learning centers to practice the skills being taught to them. These materials will be put into our Dramatic Play Center in our classroom. Many of my students are English Language Learners that need to increase their oral language. These materials will help develop and expand their vocabulary by allowing them to act out real-life scenarios in our classroom. My students need imaginative play materials to help expand their vocabulary and oral language! The baby dolls and clothes will be used when we transform our Dramatic play center into a Baby nursery. The wooden doll-house and furniture will also go in the Dramatic play center as we talk about families. These items will inspire students to explore various family and home scenarios and stories
