The curriculum Wit and Wisdom has been an asset in helping my 3rd graders to better understand texts, to listen with wonder, and to use their observations to their benefit. Even so, there are a few supplies that my students need in order to be successful. These supplies will help my students complete and post their work from every lesson, participate in group discussions, and complete independent work with minimal distractions. The easel pads will allow my students to chart their observations and post them in the classroom throughout the lessons. The highlighters will allow students to look back into the text and emphasize important information. The scissors and glue will allow them to participate in iread relevant cut and pastes. The dry erase boards will allow them to participate in whole and small group activities.
