The portable sound system will be used by 240 students in Pre-K to 4th grade for multiple performances and events throughout the year and years to come. This will allow music students to meet the state music standards as well as be able to share the goals they've met with family and friends in the community. Our school does not have a performing area for concerts and productions, but a nearby small theatre has graciously offered their space free of charge, but it is without a sound system or any performance equipment. It is also my goal to provide as many community based performances as possibly at a variety of downtown KC venues. In order to accomplish this, we will need a portable system to take with us on our performing journey. Our school's music program is brand new and with our limited funds, this will allow our students to link successful performances to what performing arts is all about! Thank you for helping us meet this great need!
