This Read-Along Station will be used in the classroom during daily centers, for differentiated learning, and as an incentive for students who finish early or have earned free time. Students who are read to are more likely to be able to read and students who read "along" are more likely to read "alone". This is the premise of this project. Read-Along's increases the students' overall reading comprehension, word recognition, and fluency while encouraging confidence, stamina, and listening skills. Read-Along's help give a story tone, mood and a human touch that both hesitant and struggling readers need to become courageous readers.
