The self-checking magnetic math and language cards are both great activities students can both do and check on their own. The language cards cover vocabulary, alphabet, and phonemic awareness skills. The math cards cover the skills of shapes & patterning, beginning operations, and numbers and counting. Each of these skills are foundation for students in my kindergarten classroom. The various BINGO games (alphabet, beginning sounds, rhyming, and colors&shapes) will be fun and engaging for students to reinforce skills previously taught. Finally, the Sight Word Sentence Center will be helpful when it comes to students learning how to produce simple sentences. The center uses color-coded picture-word cards and helps students master 39 common sight words. All items listed in this project will help students across the board in reading math, and writing in a meaningful way. Your generous donation to our project will improve our 5-K classroom by building competent learners in all areas academically. This will change our students' lives for the better because they will love school and feel success at an early age --- having fun while learning!
