My classroom is one of positivity and diversity. We are a Title 1 school with students from many different social and cultural backgrounds. My goal is to instill a knowledge and appreciation for a healthy lifestyle through fitness, exercise, and activity. It is imperative to me that each student is able to find his or her niche in physical education. Through fostering the needs and interests of each child, it is my hope that each student is able to gain a lifelong ability to utilize physical activity to cope with his or her emotions and achieve his or her goals. These children remind me of what our world can be. Watching them achieve their goals, succeed at something that once challenged them, and become inspired is the most rewarding part of my job every day.
