My students are awesome. They must strive to overcome the difficulties of just getting by day to day. They live in a high poverty area and struggle to get by on the basics. Extras, like school supplies, are out of the question for many of them. Yet, in spite of this, they work hard to succeed at school knowing that doing so will help them to achieve their dreams. They are grateful for even the smallest item that is given to them, so I know that having these donations will give them much joy. I believe that they will put even more effort into their work knowing that there are others who care about what they do at school.
