My students need age appropriate books to read. Having books that can be read independently will help build fluency and comprehension as well as help our students become successful readers. Having these books in my classroom would provide 30 students with a variety of books fiction and non-fiction that are interesting for the students to read. These books will be used daily and be available to the students so they can have a choice in what they read. The classroom library will be on different levels because each student learns differently and has their own interests. Having these books will help me teach our required standards in an interesting and relatable way. Using books that the students are interested in will make learning fun and the lessons I teach will be of value and memorable.
